Your Brow Lift Procedure

Depending on the specifics of your browlift, your procedure can be performed at an outpatient surgical facility or a local hospital. Incisions are strategically placed either behind the hairline or in the natural crease of your upper eyelids. Your brow lift surgeon can elevate forehead tissues to improve drooping brows and reposition loose skin to minimize the appearance of frown lines. Excess skin may also be carefully removed to restore natural-looking contours to the brows. Patients who experience impaired vision from drooping eyelids may require a greater amount of skin removal, depending on the specifics of your treatment.

Oftentimes, brow lift surgery is combined with blepharoplasty to re-contour the brows and eyelids for a rejuvenated expression. Foreheadplasty can be used in conjunction with facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, and chin augmentation, as well.

What To Expect After Undergoing Brow Lift Surgery

Brow lift patients can expect to have slight swelling and bruising after undergoing their procedure. Foreheadplasty healing time will depend on the type of browlift performed, as well as your particular procedure. However, bruising and swelling will usually resolve within 7 days of your forehead lift. Patients are usually back to work within 1-2 weeks of completing their browlift surgery. Your brow lift surgeon will carefully monitor your recovery in the weeks following surgery. Patients can expect follow-up appointments to ensure proper healing.
